Ferrous sulfate is the main raw material for the production of poly ferric sulfate, and pyrite can be used as the main raw material for poly ferric sulfate too. What are the differences between ferrous sulfate and pyrite?

Firstly, ferrous sulfate is one of the most excellent raw materials for PFS because of its environmental protection, safety and low cost. Ferrous sulfate was catalysed by oxygen, and then other reactions and drying processes were carried out to obtain high-quality PFS products.

Compared with ferrous sulfate, the use of pyrite for the production of PFS is due to the more impurities contained in pyrite, and because it contains ferrous ion and ferric ion, so in the production process, multi-channel process is needed to prepare PFS solution. The production process is complex, high cost and poor environmental protection.

Compared with ferrous sulfate, pyrite has no other advantages except its cheaper price. The quality of poly ferric sulfate produced by ferrous sulfate is also higher because of the little impurity content. Compared with pyrite, although the price of ferrous sulfate is slightly higher, the quality of both production process and later production is higher than that of pyrite.

Polyferric sulfate produced by ferrous sulfate is one of the factors that customers like because of its high quality, and because the production process is simple, it is also one of the factors that some manufacturers like to use ferrous sulfate. Therefore, in the production of polyferric sulfate, ferrous sulfate has a very good advantage.
