Polyacrylamide for textile mill wastewater treatment

 It is well known that polyacrylamide can treat textile wastewater, but in fact, apart from wastewater treatment, polyacrylamide has many other functions in textile pulp.

 

1. Light yarn sizing. No matter what process is adopted, as long as a small amount of PAM is added to the size, it can promote the fabric to absorb the size more evenly, strengthen the film formation and encapsulate the whole size. 

 

2. Desizing. Adding PAM into the slurry can increase the liquid absorption rate, increase the desizing rate, improve the enzyme and oxidation desizing, make the desizing more uniform, reduce the desizing chemical concentration and reduce the desizing cost.

 

3. Boiling. The application of PAM can reduce the processing time and greatly improve the production efficiency.

 

4. Bleaching. PAM can combine with conventional anti migration agent to control migration, promote the increase of color supply and significantly reduce the cost. In particular, the addition of PAM to the sulfide dye can prevent oxidation spots on the fabric and significantly reduce fabric defects.

 

Polyacrylamide is used as sizing agent and finishing agent for fabric post-treatment, which can produce a protective layer with softness, crease resistance and mould resistance. In addition, because of its strong hygroscopicity, it can reduce the breakage rate of spinning yarn and prevent the fabric from static electricity and flame retardancy. When polyacrylamide is used as printing and dyeing auxiliary, it can make the product have strong adhesion fastness and high brightness. In addition, polyacrylamide can also be used as a non silicon polymer stabilizer for bleaching.
